Seyfarth’s Connor Bateman Named a Fellow of the Lawyers for Civil Justice
Connor M. Bateman, associate in Seyfarth’s Commercial Litigation department in Atlanta, was selected as a Fellow of the Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) by its Diversity and Young Lawyers Committee.
LCJ is an important tool to achieving fairness and balance in litigation. Since its inception in 2019, LCJ’s Fellows program has proven to be an essential source of ideas, inspiration, and support for its important initiatives. LCJ leads the defense bar by lobbying federal rules committees to achieve reform in several areas (proportionality, FRCP 30(b)(6) depositions, FRE 702 motions, MDL procedures, class actions, etc.). Each LCJ Fellow will serve a three year term allowing the participants to attend meetings, participate in initiatives, and connect with corporate counsel and law firm members in a unique environment. Bateman is committed to resolving claims in a prompt, cost-effective manner and has helped to obtain numerous dismissals, summary judgements, and directed verdicts on behalf of his clients.
