Seyfarth’s Gerald Pauling Named to Savoy’s 2022 List of “Most Influential Black Lawyers”
Gerald Pauling, member of Seyfarth’s Executive Committee and partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment department in Chicago, was recognized as one of 2022's “Most Influential Black Lawyers” by Savoy magazine. The full list is comprised of the "best of the best" of Black lawyers that are partners within leading national law firms, corporate and general counsel from Fortune 1000 corporations

Employers call Pauling when the stakes are high. Whether it’s an investigation, a personnel issue, or high-profile litigation or trial, Pauling’s track record is impressive. With a career spanning 30 years, his achievements as a litigator and trial lawyer—which includes numerous jury trial wins, summary judgments and “no money” settlements have been broadly recognized. Pauling is an accomplished member of the federal trial bar, a Fellow of the highly selective College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and a member of the NELC (National Employment Law Council) Advisory Board.
Pauling is a member of Seyfarth’s seven-member executive committee, the leadership team that guides the firm’s growth & business strategy, and manages its global operations. He also is co-chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Action Team.
Pauling is a trustee of the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Pauling earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law with numerous honors. He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois, College of Commerce.
