Seyfarth’s Jennifer Mora Named a National Law Journal 2022 “Trailblazer” for Cannabis Law

Jennifer Mora, member of Seyfarth's Labor & Employment department and the firm’s Cannabis and Background Checking & Drug Testing practice group in San Francisco, was named a 2022 “Trailblazer” for Cannabis Law by the National Law Journal.

In her National Law Journal profile, Mora writes:

Having spent several years advising nationwide employers on the growing body of law regulating pre-employment background, credit, and criminal history reports, I quickly became aware of the need for employers to also understand how state and local laws might impact their drug testing practices.

No two laws are the same, which created an opportunity to add this evolving area of the law to my background check advice work.

I have taken the skills I obtained when advising employers on their background screening programs and developed a niche in helping employers to understand the myriad of state and local laws limiting their ability to rely on a positive marijuana test result and guide them in protecting their workforce while minimizing litigation risks.
