Shardé Skahan Writes on 50th Anniversary of the Black Women Lawyers Association of LA in The Recorder

Seyfarth’s Shardé Skahan authored an article, “Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Inc. Celebrates 50 Years,” in The Recorder on April 22. Skahan, president of the Black Women Lawyers Association (BWLA) of Los Angeles, discussed its 50th anniversary, celebrating its legacy as a nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of African American women in the legal profession.

“As BWL celebrates its golden anniversary, BWL leadership continues to build upon its rich history and the work of the founders, co-convenors, and previous boards by renewing its focus on mentorship and new avenues of community involvement, as well as fostering opportunities for connection through informal hikes and mental health and wellness activities.”
