SHRM Paid Family Medical Leave Policy Guidance
Seyfarth provides ongoing policy guidance to SHRM’s leadership in all areas of the workplace, including workforce development, workplace equity, workplace flexibility & leave, workplace health care, and workplace immigration. Throughout the last 12 months, that ongoing policy guidance has centered in the areas of COVID-19 compliance and best practices, applicable standards for worker classification, innovative solutions for immigration, and other policies with respect to retaining and expanding the workforce and enhancing worker experience in a holistic way through innovative leave guidance. For example, Seyfarth partnered with SHRM to develop model proposed paid family and medical leave (PFML) legislation, including analysis and feedback relating to proposed options to existing PFML laws. Seyfarth’s partnership with SHRM on this and other substantive matters has led to the development of solutions to clarify and enhance thought leadership regarding ongoing legislative solutions in all areas affecting the workplace.
