Stanley Jutkowitz Discusses How Marijuana’s Reclassification Could Spur Bank Lending in Risk Management Association

Risk Management Association quoted Stanley Jutkowitz in its article, “For Banks, Marijuana’s Reclassification Could Clear a Path to Lending,” on August 5. Jutkowitz discussed how cannabis could become an attractive segment to bankers if the federal government legalizes it.

“There will be some banks that look at reclassification as a path to federal legalization and will no longer worry about reputational risk...Whatever concerns they had about the Fed seizing their loan collateral or suspending their banking licenses may go away.”
