Steven Richman Discusses Uses of Synthetic Distributions in the Private Equity Law Report

The Private Equity Law Report quoted Steven Richman in its article, “LP Concerns and Common Misconceptions About the Rise of ‘Synthetic’ Distributions,” on July 11. Richman discussed why and how synthetic distributions have become more popular, along with detailing Limited partnership (LP) concerns about them and some typical misconceptions in the industry.

“It is difficult to raise a new fund if you are not providing distributions to your LPs…they do not have anything to commit to you.”
