Swords to Plowshare Honors Seyfarth with Pro Bono Partner of the Year Award at 25th Annual Veterans Day Celebration
Seyfarth was honored with the Pro Bono Partner of the Year Award by Swords to Plowshare at their 25th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on November 10th. As a long-standing pro bono partner with Swords to Plowshare, the firm was recognized for its dedicated commitment to serving veterans and restoring justice for those who served. Since 2016, approximately 50 Seyfarth lawyers have been involved with Swords to Plowshares’ Veterans Pro Bono Program by taking on individual veterans’ cases, providing records review, creating self-help guides, and serving on the pro bono advisory board. Shireen Wetmore, an attorney in Seyfarth’s San Francisco office, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
Founded in 1974, Swords to Plowshares is a community-based not-for-profit organization that provides wraparound services to 3,000 low-income, unhoused and at-risk veterans in the San Francisco Bay Area each year. Swords to Plowshares promotes and protects the rights of veterans through advocacy, public education, and partnerships with local, state and national entities. You can learn more here.
