Watch Part 1: Accessing Small Business Stimulus Dollars Under the CARES Act
After the passage of the CARES Act, the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Treasury have been working to issue guidance and rules for implementation of the SBA-administered relief programs. The guidance and rules are changing and being updated on a daily basis. On April 9 we hosted a webinar to cover new administrative developments and other updates to our April 2 webinar, Accessing Small Business Stimulus Dollars Under the CARES Act. The panel offered a practical review and discussion of the changing landscape by a leading SBA program lender and Director from the US Small Business Administration, followed by Q&A.
Topics include:
- Review of the first week of the program: How many people applied? How much money was approved? And more
- Where is my loan? A look at the loan cycle & potential stumbling blocks
- Eligibility and affiliation rules: Who is eligible and who determines affiliations?
- Loan forgiveness updates
- Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Paycheck Protection Program combinations
- Borrower certification issues: Who is responsible for certifications? Why is this important? Plus compliance tips and best practices
