Alan has broad experience in preparing patent applications and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications in a diverse range of technical fields but focusing on the computer software, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, computer networking, aerospace and semiconductor arts. Alan is a registered US Patent Attorney, experienced in interviewing with patent examiners and conducting appeals at the Board of Patent appeals.
Alan works with emerging companies, as well as more established high technology companies, to evaluate their intellectual property issues and provide strategic counseling with respect to issues such as portfolio development and technology transfer. He assists with litigation when complex technology is involved, such as in patent lawsuits and trade secret lawsuits.
