Spanish qualified, Ana focuses on International Employment legal matters around the world, mainly in Europe and Latin America. Ana has extensive experience providing employment legal support to multinational clients managing global multicountry projects, which are often riddled with potential pitfalls given the wide variation in laws. She has a particular focus on company restructuring measures, helping global employers efficiently and compliantly handle employment terminations, modification of employment terms and conditions, as well as company policies, work regulations, and employee benefits.
Ana has managed large projects for international companies in a large list of countries, with special focus in EMEA and LatAm regions, providing practical solutions and legal risk assessment, allowing companies to make informed decisions with a global mindset.
Ana has worked extensively with clients, especially in the technology and online retail industry, in expanding their operations to new countries as well as day-to-day management, including restructuring exercises, changes in compensation, benefits, working time and other terms and conditions, and harmonizing global policies and employment documents. Ana also supports clients on specific employment legal issues like disciplinary actions or employment termination. She is one of the firm’s leading thought leaders in the “future of work,” helping to keep clients ahead of the curve on what’s to come in the global employment space.
In addition, as Spanish qualified and bilingual in Spanish and English, Ana has extensive experience advising national and international corporations on a wide range of Spanish labor and employment matters. She covers companies restructuring and collective redundancies, employment terminations, modification of employment terms and conditions, company's policies and employee benefits, labor implications in company takeovers and spinoffs, transfer of undertakings, and senior management relationships. Also, she has experience acting before labor courts and tribunals of Spain in all types of labor and employment litigation matters.
