Angela represents a range of public and private companies, both domestic and international, as a trusted legal advisor. Her practice encompasses the full range of commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, development, and leasing. She has led teams that have handled multicity portfolios of acquisitions and dispositions and leasing. Her work also spans all of the commercial real estate product types, including industrial, retail, office, health care, government, and multifamily.
For more than 15 years, Angela was vice president of the legal department of a publicly traded REIT, where she managed the legal group that supported all of the capital transactions and investment sales. She also led the team that handles corporate governance and general contracts matters.
Over the course of her professional career, Angela has been deeply invested in the Atlanta region and the Asian American community, serving on the board of the Regional Leadership Foundation and as president of the Georgia chapter of the Organization of Chinese Americans from 1997 to 1999. Since the Atlanta mass shooting of six Asian women in 2021, Angela has been a leading advocate and voice in the fight against violence directed at the Asian American community, co-founding the AAPI Crime Victims & Education Fund.
Angela was the chair of the board of the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity, an agency of the State of Georgia from 2015 to 2021, and was president of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association from 2020 to 2021. Angela is also on the board of trustees for Westminster Schools, Atlanta and the advisory board at Emory University School of Law. She is also a member of the Atlanta chapter of the International Women’s Forum. In early 2023, Angela joined the Georgia Bar’s Commission on Continuing Legal Competency.
