Ashley is dedicated to assisting clients impacted by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and corollary state non-discrimination law in matters in both federal and state court, and in enforcement proceedings in front of government entities. She represents clients in single plaintiff and class actions in federal courts, as well as in government compliance investigations that may result in enforcement actions brought in federal court.
Ashley has successfully represented hotels, retailers, movie theaters, restaurants, institutions of higher learning, technology companies, health care providers, housing providers and public entities in disability access litigation in various federal and state courts across the country, as well as in enforcement proceedings. Ashley also advises clients throughout the country regarding ADA requirements and creating compliance policies and training programs to enable clients to avoid or respond to federal litigation.
Ashley has extensive experience defending and advising clients in state and federal litigation and Department of Justice investigations. Prior to joining Seyfarth, she worked in the Disability Rights Section of the DOJ, enforcing the very same law she now assists clients in defending. It provides a unique strategic advantage to many matters.
As part of Seyfarth’s ADA Title III & Public Access team, Ashley's entire practice is devoted to assisting clients who are defending lawsuits, federal and local investigations, and counseling those clients to avoid such lawsuits and investigations. Ashley has substantial experience defending and counseling clients on issues relating to architectural barriers, website accessibility, effective communication as well as service animals.
Ashley loves working alongside a team that is devoted to ADA Title III defense work. She has extensive knowledge and experience in this field that won't be found elsewhere. Her team is located across the country so that they can assist in any jurisdiction needed.
Ashley has successfully represented hotels, retailers, movie theaters, restaurants, institutions of higher learning, technology companies, health care providers, housing providers and public entities in disability access litigation in various federal and state courts across the country, as well as in enforcement proceedings.
