More About Cassandra
Cassandra's practice focuses on defending employers against single and multiplaintiff claims for discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, as well as against high exposure wage and hour class action claims arising under the California Labor Code. She also routinely handles wrongful termination, breach of contract, and other employment-related tort and contract claims.
Cassandra's experience includes litigation in both state and federal courts, including jury trials, private arbitration, and administrative agencies.
In addition to her litigation practice, Cassandra also represents federal contractors in affirmative action compliance matters involving OFCCP proceedings, including audits and pre-audit review and analysis of data. Cassandra also advises employers on matters related to personnel practices to ensure compliance with mandates impacting recruitment, hiring, promotion, compensation, discipline, and termination. She further provides frequent counseling and advice to clients regarding a wide variety of laws affecting the employment relationship, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Labor Code, as well as other state and federal statutes and OFCCP regulations.
Cassandra has handled litigation for and provided counseling to clients in a variety of industries, including health care, construction, hospitality, retail, aerospace, nonprofit, and high technology. In addition to her labor and employment practice, Cassandra also has experience handling general litigation matters, including commercial and real property disputes as well as consumer class actions. She also provides legal assistance to local pro bono community programs, including Project Homeless Connect, the Legal Advice and Referral Clinic (LARC), and the Consumer Project.
Cassandra was a judicial extern in 1999 to the Honorable Charles A. Legge (ret.), US District Judge for the Northern District of California.
Cassandra's experience includes litigation in both state and federal courts, including jury trials, private arbitration, and administrative agencies.
