More About Charlotte
Employers often face situations that require quick analysis and thoughtful assessment of potential legal issues. Clients see Charlotte as a collaborator—not just an advisor—because she carefully listens to their concerns and helps them develop legal strategies in order to move forward. She is trusted counsel on the legal matters of buying and selling companies, as well as other stages of a corporate change in control.
Charlotte provides legal advice to her clients on all aspects of employee mobility, including structuring and negotiating compensation packages, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, leave, and other benefits. Having crafted leave of absence and accommodation policies for hundreds of companies on the West Coast, she offers legal insight to HR professionals and in-house counsel on composing and implementing policies that are responsive to immediate needs and reflective of company culture. Since the start of the pandemic, she has dedicated her practice to guiding companies to comply with federal, state, and city COVID-19 health and safety regulations.
Companies ranging from startups to multinational corporations look to Charlotte to advise their executive team in anticipating and avoiding employment liability. A former clerk for several federal judges and a trained litigator, she understands the many deviations of how HR decisions play out. Having also worked as a lobbyist, Charlotte knows how to read the law and interpret regulators’ intentions. She can help her clients navigate complex legal issues and provide creative solutions.
Charlotte believes the workplace is the central stage of our collective society and culture, so she finds incredible satisfaction in helping make workplaces more rewarding and human every day.
