More About Daniel

When litigation is necessary, Daniel represents employers in single-plaintiff, multiplaintiff, and class action litigation, defending management against claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract, employment-related torts, and other related matters in federal and state court, as well as investigations by federal, state, and local government agencies.

Daniel also proactively advises employers on a wide range of employment matters and day-to-day personnel challenges, including employee handbooks and policies, employment and separation agreements, independent contractor classification, and minimum wage and overtime compliance. In recent years, Daniel has dedicated a large portion of his counseling practice towards COVID-19 and workplace safety compliance, becoming a go-to resource for clients in these matters.

Prior to joining Seyfarth, Daniel served as in-house counsel for the Department of Homeland Security, representing the federal government in all aspects of labor and employment law, including defending management in single-plaintiff and class-action litigation while providing extensive counseling, advice, and training to management officials on a broad range of labor and employment matters, such as leave and accommodation requests, labor relations, discrimination and harassment investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations, and policy development. Daniel’s previous experience as in-house counsel for the federal government provides him with unique insight into the challenges both big and small employers face on a day-to-day basis.

Daniel enjoys working alongside the passionate labor and employment attorneys at Seyfarth and is proud to provide top-notch representation to some of the most successful employers in the country, an experience which he finds exciting, challenging, and rewarding.
