More About Ed
In an evolving business world, a single litigation can involve multiple practices due to the ever complex nature of agreements and party practices. Ed has extensive experience in such cross-disciplinary disputes, having successfully represented a wide range of clients in construction, partnership, trade secret, restrictive covenant, contract enforcement, and shareholder disputes.
Ed's broad cross-practice experience allows him to keep the big picture in focus, as well as to have a better understanding of his clients' unique business needs. Having more tools on hand means never having to use a hammer for want of a screwdriver.
Ed began his practice in intellectual property, before moving on to representing complex real estate and construction clients in varied disputes, both in trial and appellate capacity. He then joined Seyfarth and further broadened his knowledge and experience base to include servicing the needs of financial institutions, insurance carriers, retail businesses, and manufacturers. This experience helps Ed not only better understand his clients' individual issues, but also provides a source of varied solutions.
When it comes to his representation, Ed takes a rounded approach. He focuses not only on the specific legal issue his clients bring to him, but on their business and the effect a particular legal strategy may have on that broader whole. Ed's all-inclusive methods help his clients achieve global solutions, rather than treat a single symptom.
Ed enjoys the varied range of clients he serves, and the matters he gets to tackle on their behalf, as part of the larger Seyfarth team. The firm's successful and industry-leading clients provide Ed with the opportunity to raise his own performance to match their needs.
