More About Elizabeth
In an evolving landscape of protected classifications and prohibitions against all forms of retaliation, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and corresponding state and local agencies continue to aggressively review charges and complaints of discrimination and retaliation by employers. Elizabeth works closely with clients to investigate such allegations and effectively defend the employer's position.
For nearly two decades, Elizabeth has tackled challenging employment questions. She has also spent 10 years working with the EEOC and corresponding state and local agencies, developing valuable knowledge that helps employers navigate the charge process. Elizabeth also has extensive experience drafting and revising handbooks, focusing not only on legal developments, but also on communicating policies clearly and effectively to employees.
Elizabeth has extensive experience counseling employers on a wide range of employment matters. These include discrimination and harassment claims, wage-and-hour law, employee classification, restrictive covenants, and employer negligence. Her knowledge also includes drafting and revising policies and agreements, training human resource professionals, coordinating investigations, and managing employment litigation.
Prior to entering private practice, Elizabeth served for two years as law clerk for the Honorable William T. Moore Jr., US District Judge for the Southern District of Georgia.
Elizabeth's experience as a district court law clerk, in-house attorney, and outside counsel gives her unique insight, and helps her work with clients to find effective and practical solutions. This combined experience and knowledge allows her to anticipate client needs and work efficiently.
Elizabeth loves working at a firm that values creativity and innovation, always asking, "How can we look at this problem in a new way, rather than simply repeating what we have done in the past?" She also loves that Seyfarth attorneys are in tune with the latest developments, immediately assessing the impact of those developments on their clients' day-to-day needs.
