More About Ian
Ian represents employers in many areas of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, and traditional labor matters. Through his practice, Ian has experience representing clients in civil litigation, as well as appearing before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board and various state administrative agencies. Ian’s employment law practice focuses on the defense of single-plaintiff claims for workplace harassment, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, and retaliation arising under both state and federal anti-discrimination laws.
In addition, Ian’s practice includes a strong focus on labor relations matters, such as advising clients during union election campaigns, defending unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board, and assisting with collective bargaining negotiations and agreement reviews. When disputes arise, he collaborates with the Seyfarth team to determine strategies and solutions.
Ian joined Seyfarth initially as part of the Labor & Employment department’s fellowship program, where he collaborated with the firm’s innovative attorneys and gained practical experience. While in law school, Ian interned for the Honorable Gerald Lebovitz of the New York State Supreme Court and was a certified mediator for the New York State Small Claims Court. Ian also leverages his educational background in industrial and labor relations.
