Jennifer investigates and defends administrative agency charge allegations. She reviews pertinent documents, interviews key witnesses, and provides clients an assessment of the risks associated with the charge. She also drafts position statements and responds to the agency’s requests for information and witness interviews. Where necessary, Jennifer engages in strategic settlement discussions, either through formal mediation or informal discussions with mediators, investigators or counsel.
Additionally, Jennifer handles all aspects of single-plaintiff litigation for employers. She identifies and analyzes relevant documents, interviews key witnesses, and recommends effective litigation strategies. She formulates and executes a discovery strategy, drafts discovery requests and responses, evaluates opposing party's requests and responses, reviews documents and oversees document productions. Jennifer further prepares substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions.
Jennifer has experience representing private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She has advised employers on compliance and litigation avoidance in matters involving employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wrongful discharge, separation and severance agreements, noncompetition and trade secret litigation, employee investigations and discipline, leaves of absence and disability accommodation, workplace privacy and data security, and wage and hour issues. Primarily working with national retailers, healthcare clients and clients in the hospitality industry, Jennifer has appeared before Massachusetts state and federal courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and numerous other state and local agencies.
