Jonathan partners with clients to provide practical, timely and realistic counsel in litigation matters and on the myriad issues they face as employers on a day-to-day basis.
More About Jonathan
Managing employees in an increasingly complex environment has become more challenging than ever for businesses. Jonathan assists clients in navigating these challenges and provides practical and realistic advice, balancing the needs and interests of the client with the legal and regulatory framework that governs their business.
Jonathan represents clients in the defense of employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation/whistleblowing, fraud, defamation, breach of contract, and wage-and-hour claims. He also advises clients on day-to-day employment matters such as accommodation of disabilities, discipline and termination, hostile work environments, and employee handbooks.
Earlier in his career, Jonathan was an in-house attorney with a multi-faceted corporation based in southern California. There, he handled employment, real estate, corporate and other legal matters that the corporation faced, and also managed its litigation. In that capacity, Jonathan interfaced directly with corporate employees and managers, and came to understand their needs and how he could best assist them while allowing them to achieve their business objectives. As a result of this experience, Jonathan has always made it a priority to understand his clients’ business, learn their particular concerns, and craft advice that is tailored to their specific needs, goals and limitations.
Jonathan has first-chair trial experience, having represented a major northern California city in a whistleblower case that resulted in a complete defense verdict for the city. Jonathan has also achieved numerous favorable settlements for clients, thereby saving them substantial resources.
