In today’s ever-changing legal landscape, employers turn to Joe for zealous representation, practical advice, and strategic legal solutions to a host of issues in their workplaces. Joe is a natural problem-solver who enjoys learning the ins and outs of his clients’ businesses and teaming with business owners, managers, in-house counsel, and HR professionals to help them improve employee relations.
Joe is an experienced litigator and skilled negotiator who defends employers against claims such as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal, state, and local laws in New York and New Jersey. Joe is an adept writer and communicator and uses those skills to persuasively advocate for his clients before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
Joe routinely counsels clients on a host of employment law issues, including leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, discipline and termination, large reductions in force, federal and state Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act compliance, wage and hour compliance, and restrictive covenants. He regularly crafts employee handbooks, policies, and agreements that align with his clients’ corporate goals and shield them from liability.
Joe also focuses his practice on traditional labor law matters and defends employers against unfair labor practice charges and in labor arbitration proceedings, counsels clients on union organizing and collective bargaining issues, and provides related management training.
