Marc’s practice includes real estate and corporate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing transactions. He also handles brand licensing and litigation strategy, having practiced in numerous areas of the law.

Marc is currently co-managing partner of Seyfarth’s New York office and was formerly the co-head of our New York Real Estate practice. Marc’s practice includes planning, structuring, and executing sophisticated corporate, real estate, and licensing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions (traditional, mezzanine, and preferred equity).
Marc counsels clients from entrepreneurial startups to large privately held companies through each phase of growth as outside general counsel. He provides strategic legal guidance tailored to their unique needs, ensuring they navigate challenges effectively. With a deep understanding of various industries, Marc helps clients optimize their operations while mitigating risks, allowing them to focus on innovation and expansion.
Marc's background has provided him with extensive financial and legal experience. Prior to law school, Marc was as an accountant. Marc’s prior work history includes Deloitte LLP, New York City Law Department (tax and bankruptcy division), and PwC LLP. Marc also holds an LLM in taxation from New York University. Marc joined Seyfarth as a partner in 2005, where he has been a partner ever since.
While not a practicing accountant or tax attorney, Marc’s financial background proves useful in analyzing the challenges clients often face, including analysis of balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow, and financial ability. This depth of knowledge allows Marc to identify potential pitfalls and opportunities for growth, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
