More About Marjorie

Marjorie counsels multinational public and private companies regarding complex global human resources initiatives. She has extensive experience guiding clients through the employment law-related aspects of the M&A process, from diligence and purchase agreement negotiation to the execution of integration plans involving 30 or more countries. She brings over 20 years of international employment law experience to large-scale, multicountry projects such as implementation of new HRIS systems, internal transactions, restructuring initiatives, career framework implementation, and global policy roll-outs.

She regularly advises clients regarding high-level executive hiring and exits. In addition, she counsels clients on compliance with local employment laws, hiring, termination (both individual and large-scale redundancies), wage and hour issues, statutory employment and benefits requirements, employee privacy, outsourcing, and "doing business" requirements.

Marjorie received an LLM in French and European community law from the Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne), with honors, in 2004. She received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996, where she was a Dillard Fellow. Marjorie graduated, cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1991 with a BA in government.

Marjorie is active in the American Bar Association and is a former co-chair of the International Labor and Employment Law Committee.

Prior to attending law school, Marjorie worked as a legislative aide for the late US Senator Alan Cranston of California. She is admitted to practice in New York.
