Michael leverages his wide-ranging knowledge of the NLRB’s procedures and operations. In his more than 13 years with the NLRB, Michael worked in the Contempt, Compliance, and Special Litigation Branch, the Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Branch, the Division of Advice, and the Office of Appeals. He also performed details to regional offices and regularly assisted regions with compliance and investigatory matters.
Michael provides legal solutions for any labor relations challenge that his clients may encounter —union-organizing campaigns, representation elections, collective bargaining, contract administration, grievances, mediations and arbitrations, and matters involving unfair labor practice and compliance proceedings before the NLRB or federal courts.
Michael serves as management co-chair for the American Bar Association Practice and Procedure Under the NLRA Committee for the DC region and is a contributing author to The Developing Labor Law.
Michael serves as a judge advocate in the 58th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade of the Maryland Army National Guard, where he advises command on mission-related, personnel and policy matters. Prior to commissioning, he served as an enlisted human intelligence collector. He possesses an adjudicated and active DOD Top Secret SCI clearance. He was recognized as the Distinguished Honor Graduate of both his basic training and advanced individual training classes and named to the Commandant’s List of his commissioning course.
