Peter has extensive experience in representing clients in traditional labor matters, including union organizing campaigns, NLRB proceedings, labor arbitrations and collective bargaining. Peter has represented a variety of public and private schools in education law, collective bargaining and civil rights matters. Peter has also defended numerous cases on compensation arising from employment agreements for unpaid bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation. Peter has defended a variety of other class actions arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Pay Act. Peter represents private and public employers, throughout the United States, in administrative and court litigation under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and State Acts. He has handled class actions under state wage payment laws and handled collective actions under FLSA throughout the country. Peter has also defended actions brought by the US Department of Labor. Peter has provided advice to numerous clients on compliance with state and federal wage and compensation statutes and avoidance of litigation under those statutes. Peter has also represented clients in investigations by federal, state, and local agencies.
