"Estate planning and estate and trust administration are the most personal of practice areas. I spend the time to get to know my clients on a personal level, which allows me to create plans and trusts that accomplish their personal and tax goals."
More About Ron
Ron works with clients to create estate plans and trusts in a personalized, orderly, and tax-efficient manner. He listens to what clients want to accomplish and their concerns, then helps them to formulate an estate plan to accomplish their goals. Ron also works with clients during the stressful time after a loved one has died and guides them through the administration process in a caring and understanding way, while addressing the myriad tax and other administration issues that arise.
Ron designs and implements estate plans, incorporating wills, living trusts, insurance trusts, family partnerships, limited liability corporations, sales to defective trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, private foundations, and charitable entities. He also prepares prenuptial agreements and gets involved in business succession planning. His practice also covers all aspects of estate, gift, fiduciary income tax, and generation-skipping tax matters, including the preparation of the necessary tax returns and representation of clients in IRS audits and in tax court.
Ron's practice extends back four decades, and he has seen almost every conceivable situation and family dynamic in both estate planning and trust administration. This wealth of experience allows him to help clients find ways to achieve their goals and preserve their relationships. His experience also allows him to suggest alternative ways to reach the desired result and explain the benefits and drawbacks of various strategies and ways to proceed.
Ron enjoys being part of a Trusts and Estates group that share the same values and dedication to clients. Ron thinks of the group as “the last of the true family counselors” working together to serve their clients' needs.
