More About Sara
Immediately prior to joining Seyfarth, Sara was assistant vice president/litigation counsel at a global property insurance company where she managed all facets of litigation on behalf of the company. She also assumed responsibility for HR and employment-related matters throughout the US and Canada. Sara was responsible for drafting and providing internal training on the company’s first-ever records management policy. She also provided countless other internal trainings related to litigation, the discovery process, and claims handling. Prior to her role as in-house counsel, Sara worked for a mid-size litigation firm in Providence, Rhode Island. She actively defended matters in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut state and federal courts in the areas of employment, medical malpractice, and other general liability defense.
In addition to her extensive litigation experience, Sara was accepted and graduated from the Leadership Rhode Island program in 2016. This is a nationally recognized immersive community engagement program that trains and connects leaders from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Additionally, Sara has been an active and vocal member of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association where she was a past president. Sara is also recognized in the Providence Business News’ 2015 40 Under Forty.
