With broad experience representing investors and emerging companies in raising, deploying, investing, and managing capital, Shamim provides clients with creative, forward-thinking, and practical legal advice.
Shamim advises emerging growth and lower middle-market companies on debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and managing the transition from closely held businesses to high-growth, investor-backed market leaders.
In addition, Shamim advises institutional investors, including public and private pension funds, universities, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds in various alternative investments. He regularly advises on investments in private equity, credit, and real estate strategies, as well as represents those institutional investors and independent sponsors in direct private equity investments, co-investments, joint ventures, and offshore investments.
In addition to his legal practice, Shamim serves as an adjunct professor, teaching law students the principles of negotiation in collaborative and adversarial settings.
Shamim advises emerging growth and lower middle-market companies on debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and managing the transition from closely held businesses to high-growth, investor-backed market leaders.
In addition, Shamim advises institutional investors, including public and private pension funds, universities, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds in various alternative investments. In addition to his legal practice, Shamim serves as an adjunct professor, teaching law students the principles of negotiation in collaborative and adversarial settings.
