Asia Pacific Employment Law
With continued favorable growth and opportunity in the Asia Pacific (APAC) come challenges and change, especially given the widely divergent and evolving legal and political systems and cultures across the region. We assist clients who are operating or expanding into APAC to navigate such growth and to ensure that their legal and commercial needs related to their workforce are well aligned.
HOW WE HELP
Seyfarth has the world's largest specialist international employment practice, which has been servicing clients in the region for many years. Our Asia Pacific employment lawyers based in the US and in the Asia Pacific—through our offices in Australia, mainland China, and Hong Kong—have deep experience handling country-specific and Asia Pacific regional projects for leading multinationals. We believe no other firm has this depth of skill and experience in the region.
APAC Experience. We assist more than 400 US multinationals with their employment needs in the Asia Pacific. Many of these companies have been our clients for a long period, some for more than 20 years.
APAC Cross-Border Projects. In the last year we completed more than 200 multi-jurisdictional strategic and compliance projects covering more than 120 countries, all of which involved the Asia Pacific region. Our team has completed more than 1,000 such projects in the Asia Pacific region. According to client feedback, no other prior firm has provided this level of regional experience expertise.
APAC Transactions. We acted as specialist international employment counsel on more than 20 international transactions in the last year, including high profile global mergers and acquisitions. Each deal covered countries in the Asia Pacific.

We prepared and managed the roll-out process for non-competition agreements for high-level executives in 16 countries, including in the Asia Pacific.
