Since 1995, Seyfarth has been a driving force in the legal community throughout Houston and the State of Texas. The Houston office maintains a collaborative culture to foster innovative thinking and professional growth.

The Houston office focuses on a number of practice areas, including corporate, venture capital and securities, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, employment, immigration, commercial litigation, and health care. As we continue to build upon our strengths, including our focus on labor and employment, we also set our eyes on the development of our intellectual property practice and health law. As part of this effort, Seyfarth sponsors the Houston Labor & Employment group for the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), and has co-founded ACC’s Houston Healthcare Industry group.

CULTURE

The Houston office is a close-knit group of energetic and talented attorneys who are attracted to the firm’s entrepreneurial and innovative approach to the practice of law. The office is dynamic, growing, and proud to distinguish itself with a diverse cultural mix, as well as strong representation of women in leadership roles.

Attorneys in the Houston office are engaged with a variety of pro bono legal efforts, including the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), and Tahirih Justice Center. We also uphold a generous spirit of giving back to the community. Our Houston attorneys were heavily involved in direct relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, contributing hours of work—both physical and legal—to help rebuild our community.

Attorneys and staff also sit on numerous boards and committees that promote a healthy community. These include philanthropic efforts for children and family causes, such as The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, Kids In Need of Defense (KIND), and the Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, the ACE Mentor Program, St Luke’s Hospital Foundation, the Houston Grand Opera, the Fort Bend Regional Council on Substance Abuse, Fort Bend Women’s Center, and the Election Protection arm of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights under Law; and health-related organizations, such as Race for the Cure, on behalf of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Located at Pennzoil Place, Seyfarth’s Houston office has implemented an award-winning, innovative floor plan and cutting-edge technology to enhance collaboration and productivity for its growing team. Pennzoil Place is also certified LEED Gold, providing the Houston office with the most environmentally friendly building space possible.

Parking Information

The Pennzoil Place building does not have visitor parking. Parking is available across the street in the Bank of America building located at 700 Louisiana Street, the entrance to the garage is on the corner of Capitol and Smith, hourly rate is $5 or a daily max of $25. A second parking option is the Theatre District garage located at 601 Capitol, the daily rate is $18. Both garages are connected to 700 Milam via the underground tunnel system.
