Cynthia has significant experience representing clients in all types of commercial real estate transactions, general corporate matters, and commercial finance transactions, particularly in the health care industry.

Cynthia focuses on representing clients across the country in the acquisition and disposition of various types of commercial real property, including health care facilities, office buildings, industrial properties, and mixed-use apartment buildings, and on the real estate-related aspects of transactions pertaining to corporate sales, acquisitions, and mergers. She also represents landlords and tenants in commercial use and commercial lease transactions, and lenders and borrowers in real estate finance matters. She has also done a substantial amount of work in the area of public housing development privatizations, including the withdrawal of several Mitchell-Lama projects from the Mitchell-Lama Housing Program and the conversion of Mitchell-Lama projects into condominiums or cooperative corporations.
Cynthia is the co-chair of the firm’s Health Care, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals industry group. She has significant experience representing health care clients in real estate transactions, with a focus on skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals. She advises her clients in the acquisition and disposition of the assets, as well as, obtaining mortgage financing through a variety of different channels, including, permanent financing sources, Bridge-to-HUD loans and financing insured through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These transactions often involve assisting the client with other loan structures, including accounts receivables financing and alternate forms of subordinate debt. Cynthia also represents lenders in health care industry in (permanent and bridge) mortgage, mezzanine, and receivables based loan transactions.
Cynthia has been named by The Legal 500 (Legalese Ltd.) as a Next Generation Lawyer in Real Estate since 2018 and has been recognized by The Legal 500 (Legalese Ltd.) in both the Real Estate category since 2017 and the Healthcare: Service Providers category since 2018.
