Angelina is an employment lawyer who provides strategic advice and counsel to her clients. Angelina’s clients rely on her to identify problems early, develop solutions quickly, and build successful litigation and trial strategies in their best interest.
Angelina defends her clients against a wide range of employment-related disputes, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Angelina is also highly knowledgeable on the use of artificial intelligence in employment. She counsels her clients on the benefits of using AI tools, while remaining in compliance with regulatory guidelines and limiting the risk associated with their use. Angelina’s background in intellectual property and securities litigation also provides her with the unique ability to spot issues and respond to a broad spectrum of challenges faced by her clients.
Angelina is a seasoned litigator with experience in both California state and federal courts. She has successfully tried dozens of cases before arbitration panels, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), JAMS, and AAA.

Outside of Seyfarth, Angelina serves as the Vice Chair of the National Bar Association’s Employment Law Section and is a proud supporter of the California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP).

- Defeated claims for alleged violations of the California Labor Code, defamation, and tortious interference with business relationships brought by a former employee and secured a $2.5M award on a promissory note for a large broker-dealer in the same matter.
- Defended against claims related to alleged trade secret misappropriation and raiding and recruiting issues, and prosecuted claims related to promissory notes before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
- Successfully appealed the denial of a motion to compel the arbitration of a securities claim brought before the California Court of Appeal, Second District.
- Advised her broker-dealer clients regarding compliance matters and their U4 and U5 reporting requirements, and has also represented individual financial advisors in expunging matters from their records maintained by the Central Registration Depository.
- Prosecuted trademarks before the USPTO, and has represented large- and small-clients in trademark opposition and cancellation matters held before the USPTO.
- Advised clients as to the likelihood of registration of potential marks and also regarding the necessary steps to protect their intellectual property rights once registration is issued.
- Represented banking institutions in consumer finance litigation matters in both state and federal court in California.
- Practiced before the US Bankruptcy Courts, including the Bankruptcy Appeals Panel for the Ninth Circuit, and has advised her clients as to the potential avenues for recovery of debts owed to them within the bankruptcy context.
- Maintains an active pro bono practice, which has included defeating a motion for summary judgement, and obtaining a favorable settlement for a pro bono client in a Section 1983 cruel and unusual punishment case.
