More About Lennon
Lennon defends and counsels companies of all sizes in employment-related matters in state and federal courts. He focuses on complex class and collective actions involving claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws, as well appellate practice involving a variety of causes of action. Lennon also has experience litigating the enforceability of restrictive covenants, including in executive level employment agreements. Lennon and the teams he work with have secured groundbreaking appellate decisions, trial victories, defeated attempts to obtain collective/class certification, and won both dismissals and summary judgment in a wide variety of employment-related cases.
Lennon’s litigation experience informs his counseling work. After spending 12 years defending companies against wage claims, discrimination and retaliation claims, in commercial disputes, and against consumer financial services causes of action, Lennon has the experience and insight to help employers and businesses identify and mitigate a variety of risks. Lennon’s advice and counsel is also informed by a strong belief that more brains are better than one. To that end, Lennon leverages Seyfarth’s deep bench of professionals to provide his clients with the right solutions.
Lennon has a strong interest in pro bono legal work. He serves on the board of directors for Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation, and regularly counsels indigent individuals experiencing housing crises. Lennon also accepts court appointed representations of criminal defendants collaterally challenging their sentences on appeal in federal court.
Before joining Seyfarth Shaw, Lennon clerked for three different federal judges in two districts in Georgia. He enjoys running, golfing, hiking, and culinary adventures of all stripes.
