With keen attention to detail and strategic insight, Leon assists both multinational employers and local employers in the Asia Pacific region to effectively navigate their employment law challenges.
More About Leon
Leon has successfully assisted multinational clients with numerous labour and employment law matters in the Asia Pacific region. These include structuring and implementing employment-related initiatives arising from mergers and acquisitions, individual and large-scale employee restructuring and termination, negotiations with impacted employees and communications with competent labour unions and labour authorities, personnel allocation and compensation in restructurings, and handling labour disputes, labour arbitration, and litigation in China. His practice also involves employment due diligence, workplace policies, privacy protection, union matters, labour dispatching, and outsourcing.
Leon has more than 15 years of experience in employment law, which has strengthened his persuasive skills. In some face-to-face meetings with employees, he has convinced them to enter into separation and settlement agreements within a short period of time to avoid challenging collective labour disputes. He gathers evidence with the aim of maintaining his clients' leverage during employee interviews. He always responds promptly and effectively to his clients' requests.
Prior to joining Seyfarth, Leon worked for two leading law firms where his focus was labour and employment law, including employment litigation. This has given him profound insight into the details of pre-litigation stages, which are crucial to the actual litigation process. Leon pays attention to such details during his day-to-day, non-litigation advice.
