On the lending segment, he has assisted in closing a mortgage loan on the acquisition and construction of a property to be improved with a residential apartment building with street-level retail space. Lou has also been asked to represent a lender in establishing a loan participation. With the troubled loan deals, he works with a lending client in negotiating and documenting a forbearance arrangement with the aim of restructuring the loan facilities. These examples demonstrate the variety of the types of problems that he counsels his clients to resolve.
