Christian represents employers in single plaintiff and collective-action employment matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, sex harassment, and wrongful termination cases, before state and federal courts throughout the United States, FINRA, the EEOC, and various state agencies.

Christian also advises management in traditional labor matters, including organizing campaigns, labor arbitrations, NLRB cases, and collective bargaining negotiations. He assists companies in designing, negotiating, and implementing executive employment and separation agreements, compensation structures, reductions-in-force, and human resources policies and procedures.
He is a frequent lecturer at public and private seminars nationwide on labor and employment issues, and is the author or co-author of numerous legal articles, including the introductory chapter in Wrongful Employment Termination Practice (CEB 1997), the premier reference on California’s wrongful termination laws.
Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Christian practiced labor and employment law at a firm in Boston and another in San Francisco. He previously served as law clerk to then-Chief Justice Michael D. Zimmerman of the Utah Supreme Court. Christian is the co-chair of the San Francisco office's Labor & Employment department.
